April is Women’s Eye Health and Safety Month–a reminder that women are at higher risk for vision loss. Nearly two-thirds of blindness and visual impairment occur in women due to hormonal changes, longer life expectancy, and higher rates of conditions like autoimmune disease, thyroid disorders, and diabetes.
Common issues like dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration often have no early symptoms, but routine eye exams can detect them early and help protect your vision.
If it’s been over a year since your last exam, now is a great time to schedule. My team and I are committed to providing compassionate, expert care for women.
