Happy Marathon Monday! Today we are highlighting Team ALF runner Honor Bowman! Honor is a veteran runner with Team ALF, this will be her fourth marathon!

Honor is running “in memory of my dad, Stephen Bowman, who passed on October 28th, 2023.”

She said, “It was my dad who stood rain or shine for my previous marathons, cried the entire time happy tears (IYKYK), and was the person who insisted on pushing my wheelchair when I fainted after my first race. It is because of the ALF and running for their foundation that I have some of my fondest memories of my dad.”

Time for ALF's Weekly Health Policy Round-Up! This week, ALF's Board Chair and CEO sent a letter to HHS regarding the importance of the hepatitis B vaccine, the Living Donor Protection Act was introduced along with the new Living Donor FMLA Protection Act, both of which support living organ donors. American Liver Foundation Applauds Representatives Jerrold Nadler (NY-12) and Don Bacon (NE-02) for reintroducing the Living Donor Protection Act (LDPA) to protect the rights of living organ donors.
