For some, it may never be too early to get a colonoscopy. Dr. Roy Dressner, colorectal surgeon, was recently featured on WNBC Weekend Today New York, discussing the early warning signs of and how one unsuspecting 33 year-old woman was diagnosed with the disease that is now the number one cause of cancer-related deaths in patients under 50. This video originally aired on WNBC Weekend Today New York on March 22.

From the impending federal health care cuts and lower provider payments to the need for training, hiring, and retaining a new generation of nurses, RWJBarnabas is at the forefront of some of our nation's most pressing health care challenges.

Yesterday, the RWJBarnabas Health and Clara Maass Medical Center Community Health teams joined Assemblywoman Carmen Morales and her staff, as well as the Township of Belleville, to distribute food boxes filled with fresh produce, bread, yogurt and eggs to local residents.

These boxes were made possible through RWJBarnabas Health’s partnership with The Common Market and supported by community health resources from the State of New Jersey – helping expand access to nutritious food across our communities.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with like-minded leaders like Assemblywoman Morales, whose shared vision of building healthier communities helps bring this work to life.

Our SNAP Navigators and registered dietitian were also on-site, connecting residents with resources and offering guidance to support healthy eating.
