The James and Sharon Maida Geriatrics Institute, located within Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus (MMCSC) in Lakewood, is a state-of-the-art geriatrics outpatient practice providing consultative services, including geriatric consultations, palliative consultations, cognitive evaluations, as well as primary care for patients 65 years and over.

RWJBarnabas Health has opened a new orthopedic physician practice in Bergen County, staffed by three orthopedic surgeons from RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group. The new office, located in River Edge, offers patients in northern New Jersey greater access to world-class orthopedic care close to home.

Providers include:
• Raphael Longobardi, MD, FAAOS, Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Surgery
• Adam Becker, MD, Advanced Joint Replacement
• Frank Liporace, MD, Orthopedic Trauma & Complex Joint Reconstruction

Dr. Longobardi’s clinical areas of interest include reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee; ACL, PCL, MCL and LCL injuries, computer assisted/ robotic knee replacement surgery, bio-surgical knee treatments with meniscal and osteochondral allograft transplantation, autologous cultured chondrocyte implantation, and upper extremity injuries in the throwing athlete.

Meet our provider:
• Rebecca C. Yang, MD, FACS, is a Breast Surgical Oncologist, Director of Breast Surgery, and Director of the Comprehensive Breast Health Center at Jersey City Medical Center.

Dr. Yang focusses exclusively on the care of women with malignant and benign breast disease with a comprehensive patient-centered approach. She has a strong interest in the role of integrative therapy in the management and subsequent survivorship care planning for women with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Dr. Yang is a proponent of advancing care through participation in appropriate clinical trials.

With over 180 Medical Group employees and their guests in attendance, the evening was dedicated to recognizing the remarkable dedication and commitment of our employees spanning an impressive range of anniversary milestones from five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty, thirty-five and forty years of service!

Appreciation and applause filled the air as colleagues and friends gathered to celebrate the collective achievements of these outstanding individuals, whose tireless contributions have been instrumental in RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group’s continued success and growth.
