Did you know that obesity can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes?

Understanding the connection between obesity and these health risks is crucial for making informed choices about your well-being. 🏃‍♀️🥗

These choices include:

1: Physical Activity: Incorporate regular exercise into your routine. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity every week, along with muscle-strengthening exercises.

2: Portion Control: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating. Eating slowly and savoring your meals can help you recognize when you're full.

3: Stress Management: Chronic stress can contribute to weight gain. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as yoga, meditation, or spending time in nature.

4: Adequate Sleep: Prioritize getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Sleep plays a vital role in weight management and overall health.

Remember, small changes can lead to significant improvements in your health. By adopting a healthy lifestyle and managing your weight, you're taking proactive steps to reduce your risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and other obesity-related health issues. Your well-being is in your hands – embrace the journey to a healthier you! 💪❤️

Let's talk about the first black female Physician in American history:
Rebecca Lee Crumpler challenged both the prevailing prejudice against the place of women and systemic prejudice against African Americans by becoming the first African American woman in the U.S. to earn a medical degree. Born in 1831 in Delaware, she worked as a nurse for eight years before being admitted to the New England Female Medical College in 1860. Her graduation in 1864 made her the first black woman to earn a formal degree as a physician.

Happy Women's history month.
