Mental health is not a luxury—it’s a priority.
In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, be more, and give more, it’s easy to put ourselves last. But the truth is, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.
Rest when you need to.
Set boundaries without guilt.
Ask for help without shame.
Choose yourself, even when it’s hard.
Your peace matters. Your feelings matter. You matter. 💙

Emotional burnout doesn’t happen overnight — it builds quietly in the small gaps of how we’re caring for ourselves each day.
In this video, I break down three core areas to look at if you’re feeling depleted:
✨ A.M. Routine – How are you starting your day? Is it reactive or intentional?
🌙 P.M. Routine – Are you giving your nervous system a real chance to wind down?
🥗 Nourishment Throughout the Day – Not just food, but hydration, movement, sunlight, connection, and mental input.
Burnout isn’t always about doing too much. Sometimes it’s about not restoring enough.
Small shifts in these three categories can create real emotional resilience. Watch the full video and let me know which area needs the most attention for you right now.

As a clinician and an avid gardener, I’m constantly reminded that healing looks a lot like growth
When I plant something new, I don’t demand it bloom. I tend to the roots — water, light, good soil. What’s happening beneath the surface is what makes growth possible.
Humans are the same.
The visible changes we want — less anxiety, healthier relationships, clearer boundaries — are the leaves. The real work happens in the roots: our nervous systems, our stories, our wounds, our beliefs.
We don’t bloom because we push harder.
We bloom when we’re nourished.
Tend to your roots. Give yourself water. Seek light. Trust the season you’re in.

So grateful to have presented “Faith, Identity, and Healing: A Provider’s Guide to Supporting LGBTQ+ Clients Navigating Religious Trauma.”
This work lives at the intersection of faith, identity, and deep healing—and it requires courage to talk about what often goes unspoken.
If you look closely at the photos, you’ll see my pink elephant 🐘—a symbol of the “elephant in the room” and the discomfort our world often has discussing religion and LGBTQ+ identity. We can’t support healing if we avoid the hard conversations.
Truly honored and thankful to be invited to speak on such an important topic.

What’s on your therapist’s bookshelf tells you a lot.
On mine you’ll find EMDR, Buddhism, daily mindfulness, and empowerment books side by side.
They reflect what I believe:
healing is possible,
growth is lifelong,
the mind and body are connected,
and compassion changes things.
Those shelves hold tools for the work we do – and reminders that I’m always learning right alongside you.
If you glanced at your therapist’s bookshelf, what would you hope to see there?

Cognitive reframing is learning to pause and question the story you’re telling yourself.
Our thoughts shape how we feel. When we automatically assume the worst, we suffer more than we need to. Reframing means choosing a more balanced, realistic perspective.
Instead of:
“I failed, I’m terrible at this.”
Try:
“I made a mistake, and I can grow from it.”
Small shifts in thinking create big changes in mood, confidence, and relationships.
You don’t have to believe every thought you have!
