Inflammation
.... what causes it and how do you manage it?

Inflammation is the root cause of any source of pain, really. How do you get rid of it? You don't. But you can learn how to manage it and live a better life with reduced pain.

This is the hard part......
First, reduce your dairy, white flour and refined sugars intake - these are a few major causes of inflammation.
Although dairy has many benefits, it's one of the main causes of inflammation. Our bodies are not designed to ingest dairy products yet they've been a source of food for calcium, vitamin D and protein for many years.

How to combat this? It's a lifesyle choice. If you are determined to feel better and if your goal is to also lose weight then start trying these examples: First, drink more water. Water is the single most beneficial way to decrease inflammation immediately.

Switch to other forms of protein. Example: Pea protein, eggs, fish: salmon, tuna, shell fish; lean meats like chicken and turkey. Protein is what our bones need most to stay healthy. And use lemon juice instead of mayonnaise. Stay away from processed and fried foods. These increase inflammation exponentially. They are filled with lots of sodium, chemicals and hydrogenated oils that are so bad for us.

Supplements that fight inflammation:
Bromelain - an enzyme found in pineapples;
Vitamin C - extra doses of Vitamin C (1,000-1,500 mg's - max daily) aids in inflammation reduction;
Magnesium - especially for women - magnesium is essential to maintain healthy bone structure especially after menopause.
Turmeric - a great anti-inflamatory supplement or in powder form

Getting older is no joke. You have to deal with so many aches and pains. Your body is changing and fat appears out of no where. Your skin changes and you now have to deal with age spots and loss of elasticity. There is no quick fix to any of these issues. Massage helps for every day pain if you stick with getting them on a regular basis. But as we get older, more problems emerge. So you have to become your own healthcare advocate. Do your research, or get some help from people like me who already have. Take time to invest in your health. You are the only one who cares the most about your wellbeing. Start the new year 2025 off right with a therapeutic or lymphatic massage. The best way to detox the body is through lymphatic massage plus if you have swelling/edema, lymphatic massage will help release those toxins out of the body through the lymphatic system to help you recover from injury or surgeries you may have or had . It is also very useful for people with diabetes even neuropathy because it’s a very light touch and moves fluid and not muscle. It’s extremely effective and you can see immediate results. Summer is here!!!!☀️☀️☀️ Everyone is preparing to go or already is traveling on vacation to enjoy everything that this world has to offer during the summer months. Traveling by plane? By car? Well, I’m not trying to dissuade your excitement, but the reality is you may have to contend with long lines at the airport, delayed flights, canceled, flights; or parking and/or vehicle maintenance issues potentially incurred while on the road or hotels losing your reservation. 😵‍💫That’s no fun. 🫣 Well, any of those cannot only bring on headaches, and are stressful as it is but also potentially painful for the entire body.

Solutions? Well, the first solution is hydration. Traveling on the road and or by air puts you at a higher risk for dehydration. That’s not new information, it’s a fact. So not only staying hydrated is a common solution by any practitioner to suggest. However, massage before and/or especially after your vacation is a good solution to get your body back on track and its regular circadian rhythm especially when time differences are involved.

Good morning. I’d like to add a new service that I’m very excited about. It is lymphatic drainage massage. Some people may know what the service is and I would like to share that I am now certified in this specialty. What is the lymphatic system? In a nutshell, the lymphatic system is our drainage system in the body. It is where we dump. All of the toxins and trash for lack of a better term, to be sent out of the body. The best benefit about lymphatic drainage massage is that it decreases inflammation anywhere in the body by moving fluid towards lymph nodes so that the body can rid toxins naturally. We all have some sort of inflammation and or swelling in the body especially in post op recovery.

The holidays are upon us. And everyone is rushing around to buy last minute gifts or working extra hours to accommodate the extra expenses or if you are planning to travel. It’s just a busy time in general. So with that said, now is the time to destress, and reconsider your Health. That should be the number one priority in everyone’s lives. Consider a relaxation massage, or trigger point therapy or cranial sacral therapy in order to combat the stressors that life brings us each day. Do not delay, put your Health first. Today!!

What is a muscle tear? When a muscle is severely overworked, this creates awful pain and mobility limitation. A lot of people don’t know exactly what to do. But the best thing to do is rest, ice and followup with heat. there are recovery exercises to do once the pain starts diminishing. You can Google these or speak to your healthcare provider. After which, the best thing to do is start with a good massage routine. Massage helps to invigorate the muscles and keep the tendons and ligaments that the muscles are attached to strong and healthy. If you already have a workout routine you should also have a massage routine they go hand-in-hand. This is called health maintenance.

What’s a really great massage worth to you? Some people say price is no object. In certain cases like massage, you do get for what you pay for. So if you really want results, then pay for what you really want. It’s that simple. Your health is the most important thing above anything else. These are scary and unprecedented times. However, staying health is the most important thing that we can do for ourselves. three things that we should remember during these tough times are: number one, physical health, number two, mental health and number three, spiritual health. spiritual health for me is number one. But we have to have the other two in order to stay whole. massage although physical, helps with mental health as well. Consider a 80 minute moderate to deep tissue massage to help with your neurological, Limphatic and musculoskeletal health. I am taking referrals only. I am concentrating on females only at this time.
