On April 11th, International Black Doula Day, I had the opportunity to serve on the panel for “Addressing Maternal Morbidity in the Black Community.” I spoke on the importance of having a doula prenatally and Postpartum. Doulas are for everyone and are accessible for your birth, no matter the type of Birth you are having. Doulas make a difference in birth outcomes and in the postpartum period. Thank you, Dr. Harding. It is always a great opportunity to share space with her: Christine Carvalho, RN, with St. Mary’s Medical Center, and Jeigh Billingy, LCSW. Thank you to that NCBW West Palm Beach Chapter, for honoring the topic with the attention it deserves. 💜

This event is open to women of childbearing age, those currently pregnant, and mothers up to one year postpartum.

Learn how to:
• Recognize important maternal health warning signs
• Ask the right questions and advocate for your care
• Understand resources that support healthy pregnancies and recoveries
