Ozarks Healthcare is proud to introduce midwifery services, expanding access to modern, patient-centered, and holistic care for women. 🩺👶🩷

Certified Nurse Midwives Tabitha Young and Shelley Mitchell are now seeing patients, providing personalized pregnancy care in collaboration with our obstetrics team, combining the relationship-focused approach of midwifery with the safety and resources of a hospital setting.

This care model is all about education, empowerment, and choice - giving patients more time to ask questions, explore options, and feel confident in their care every step of the way.

“As a midwife, I have the opportunity to build trust over nine months and support women through one of the most important times in their lives,” Tabitha said.

“I want patients to feel heard and supported, and to have the birth experience they want, as long as it’s safe for mom and baby,” Shelley added.

Midwives don’t just deliver babies - they also provide primary women’s healthcare, including:
- Annual well-woman exams
- Birth control management
- Preventive screenings (Pap smears, mammograms, and more)

If you’re looking for a more personalized, supportive approach to your care, this is it. Ozarks Healthcare's midwives are now accepting new patients! Call 417-256-1838 or learn more: www.ozarkshealthcare.com/services/womens. 💚

Ozarks Healthcare is once again partnering with local schools to provide free sports physicals for students this spring and early summer, helping ensure area youth are healthy, safe, and ready to participate in athletics and school activities. 🏀🎾⚽

These convenient on-site physicals are completed during the school day, making it easier for families to meet this important requirement. Schools will send home physical forms for parents or guardians to complete and return on the scheduled date.

We’ve already been out in the community this season, providing physicals for students at the Koshkonong R-3 and Fairview School Districts, and we’re just getting started.

📅 Upcoming school visits include:
April 23 – Junction Hill C-12
April 28 – Glenwood R-8
April 30 – Richards R-5
May 7 – Howell Valley R-1
May 13 - Mountain View Birch Tree RIII (Highschool)
May 14 - Mountain View Birch Tree RIII (Elementary)
May 19 – Dora R-3
June 3 – Winona R-3
July 31 – Alton R-4

West Plains R-7 Families: The Zizzer Clinic offers free physical days built into the school schedule year-round, with appointments two Wednesdays each month and a dedicated two-week period at the end of the school year.

Sports physicals do more than check a box - they help ensure students can safely participate in activities and can also identify potential health concerns early, supporting long-term physical and mental well-being. 🩺

Missed your school’s date? The Zizzer Clinic can help with make-up appointments at 417-505-7123.

Providing access to care where students are is just one more way Ozarks Healthcare supports healthy kids and strong communities! 💚
