Last week, we were thrilled to have the West Point Public Schools - Nebraska JAG Class back with us for some Halloween fun! 🎃

The students and residents teamed up to create festive door covers to get everyone in the spooky spirit. 👻🕸️ It was wonderful seeing them work side by side — laughing, crafting, and bringing some extra Halloween magic to our halls!

Today at noon, our amazing Dietary Manager Patti Howser and talented Cook Jessica Masters prepared a beautiful lunch for our Resident Food Council to enjoy!

Residents were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvre platters and wine, featuring a variety of freshly made favorites — including breaded mushrooms, BBQ wings, mozzarella sticks, spinach artichoke dip, shrimp cocktail, breaded shrimp, and quesadillas, just to name a few!

Everything was absolutely delicious and gave our residents a wonderful opportunity to sample some new menu options. 🍤🧀🥂

A big thank-you to Patti and Jessica for their creativity and care in making this special event such a success! 💛

We were so excited to welcome back the West Point Public Schools - Nebraska JAG Class today!

For our fans of late-night TV, we channeled our inner Jimmy Fallon and played our own version of “Box of Lies.” The students took turns picking mystery boxes with silly pictures inside — then had to convince everyone whether they were telling the truth or totally making it up.

Our residents asked the tough questions to try to spot the fibs… and let’s just say we had some very good liars in the bunch! 😂

Such a fun morning full of laughs and friendly trickery — we can’t wait to have them back!

On Friday, October 3rd, we took our residents on a scenic drive through Howells! The bus was packed and full of laughter as many shared stories and memories of their homes, businesses, and good times spent at the Howells Ballroom.

As an extra surprise, we were flagged down by Susie Pokorny and her grandchild, who treated everyone to a stop at the 88 Bar & Grill for a soda! What a wonderful treat and a special moment for our residents.

On Monday, Plum Creek Aussies treated us to an adorable dog show! 🐾 Our residents had so much fun watching the talented pups perform — and the best part came after the show when everyone got to cuddle and pet the 6-week-old puppies!

On Thursday, September 25th, our residents and students from West Point Public’s JAG class kicked off with a Root Beer Float Social. Everyone enjoyed ice cream floats, good conversation, and lots of laughter. 🥳

Today, the students helped our residents with their technology questions—sharing tips, exploring apps, and swapping stories about “then and now.” It was wonderful to see friendships blossom across generations! ❤️

A big thank you to the West Point Public Schools - Nebraska JAG class for bringing their energy, patience, and tech expertise to our community.
