Boston Brain Integration Brain Integration is an alternative drug-free therapy that helps people dealing with ADD/ADHD, concu What is Crossinology® Brain Integration Technique (BIT)?

Crossinology® Brain Integration Technique (BIT) is a proven alternative treatment for learning difficulties based on the principles of Applied Physiology and acupressure. BIT opens and integrates neurological pathways throughout the brain, giving individuals full access to their hidden potential. BIT is completely non-invasive and creates profound changes in the brain with NO drugs or surgery. How does BIT work? Many treatments to correct learning problems involve prescription medication, modifications to a person's learning style, or intense on-going exercises. BIT actually changes the electromagnetic flow of information in the brain, opening blocked neural pathways for optimum brain function. Using Applied Kinesiology, or muscle testing, BIT works to identify and correct over 80 different components involved in learning. BIT makes sure the information coming in through the eyes and ears is directed to the correct location within the brain with the correct timing. BIT changes the brain from the inside out, as opposed to the outside in. By repatterning brain activity, BIT helps children and adults operate with minimum stress and maximum efficiency. Who can BIT help? BIT helps people with a wide range of issues including ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, concussions, emotional trauma, PTSD, speech disorders, auditory processing disorders, executive functioning difficulties, poor coordination, autistic spectrum disorders, strokes, brain injuries, and poor working memory. BIT helps improve brain function for people with challenges like:

• Difficulty with short and long-term memory
• Anxiety and emotional issues
• Difficulty concentrating
• Short attention span, difficulty focusing
• Poor reading comprehension
• Difficulty with mathematics
• Poor organizational skills
• Inability to recognize cause and effect
• Tendency to be impulsive
• No sense of time

How long does treatment take? The basic BIT correction program, which addresses deep level switching, access to the corpus callosum, speech, visual and auditory processing, the limbic system, balance, and repatterning, takes approx. 10-16 hours. The length of each person’s program varies due to individual needs. After the initial 1-hour assessment, sessions can be divided over several weeks or finished in the course of a few days. Adults generally schedule 2-hour appointments, while children may have shorter visits. What kinds of results will I see? BIT consistently improves people's learning abilities. After being integrated, clients are able to read with significantly higher reading comprehension, understand mathematical concepts, become physically coordinated, and modulate their emotional responses. Many clients report feeling considerably less anxious and more confident in their daily life. Clients, educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals frequently recommend BIT because it produces noticeable and sustained improvements on standard psychological and neurological tests. What is the cost? Elizabeth McIntire charges $110/hour for Brain Integration. The 1-hour assessment is billed at the same rate as regular treatment. Fascinating new research about the brain! I’m excited to learn more and connect ever more specialized brain cells inside all of us. The more we learn about the brain, the more we learn how much more there is to learn! 🧠♥️

Researchers identified some 3,300 types of brain cells, an order of magnitude more than was previously known, and have only a dim notion of what most of them do.

This is a beautiful article by a woman I went to school with that powerfully expresses one perspective on what it is to live as an adult with dyslexia. Enjoy!

The gift of this time is a chance to study more Brain Integration with the fabulous Jacque Mooney from Australia. Tonight I am feeling grateful for this work, for my colleagues, and for my teachers. As the school year begins this September, I look forward to sharing my new wisdom with all who walk through the doors at Boston Brain Integration!

I learned wonderful new things about the vestibular system this week in a LEAP class broadcast live from Australia! It seemed particularly relevant in a world that is so tragically off balance from both the pandemic and the tragedy of systemic racism. I am eager to get back into my practice soon to help all those who need my services! I hope you’re all staying safe out there.

As we struggle collectively with the dramatic changes that Covid-19 has brought to our lives, I want everyone to know that I am here at Boston Brain Integration, and it is my intention and mission to care for those who are suffering, those on the front lines, and those suddenly without their usual self care and in need of connection. I am working remotely until businesses open up again, and I am happy to schedule time with folks who need my services either on the phone or over Zoom. May we stay safe and socially distant for as long as is necessary to protect the most vulnerable members of our society and our first responders and medical professionals. We will get through this together.

"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant, but has forgotten the gift." -Albert Einstein

Much of what Brain Integration seeks to do is to rebalance the connections between the two hemispheres so we can use more of our whole selves as we approach life. Nearly everything we do requires both hemispheres in order to function. And yet our society values the perspective of Logic so much more than the perspective of Intuition. It is no easy task to stay grounded and balanced in our modern world.

Reading to children is so important for organizing brain development! Reading and singing. It's the little things that make all the difference!

Scans of preschoolers' brains show a stark difference in brain development when read to by a parent as compared to when they are playing on screens alone, studies show.
