I’ve had the opportunity to observe people dividing themselves by political party, while throwing stones at one another. Do we really believe that a politician can save us? I have yet to experience a politician who holds all of humanity so dearly in their heart that they sincerely want the best for ALL! When I say ALL, I mean the entire world, not just the tiny piece they reside in. The only one who holds that kind of love for humanity is God/Creator (whatever you choose to call that which dreamt us into being. While we’re out here dividing ourselves and throwing stones and living in fear, God is waiting for us to go within and find the love in our hearts to rise above the noise and distractions; to find that place of peace; that place of love; that place that remembers that WE are all that which is. We each hold a spark of God. WE get to choose what comes next and create that reality around us. We get to decide whether we want to fall into the trap of looking outside ourselves for the answer. I want to live in a world free of hate, free of poverty, where people have food to eat and love to share. Has there ever been a political leader who could do all of that? Im thinking not, but God can. God is everything or God is nothing. Maybe we can come together and pray for love to enter the hearts of all; maybe we can pray for unity. No matter what the outcome of any election, humanity will still exist and another election will take place. Maybe we could, just for a moment, pray for the good of all of humankind. Pray that our politicians find love in their hearts to do what is kind and loving for all of humanity. Spreading hate and fearful thoughts never accomplished anything other than creating more of the same. Remember, what you focus on grows. So, I’m asking you to consider what you you are focusing on. Are you focusing on what you consider to be evil and wrong? Are you focusing on what you deem to be someone else’s short-comings? Or are you focusing on where you can be of service, where you can be the light in someone else’s struggles. Can you send light to places that need illumination? It was only a week ago that there was a category 5 hurricane on track to wipe out entire communities, but the love and light that poured out toward the storm itself, toward the people and the animals who were directly in the path of potential devastation were spared. I shared a prayer only a short time before Milton was set to hit. I sat quietly in prayer and meditation and sent love directly to those places. I am not claiming to be the sole reason that change took place, but I am claiming to be a part of the collective who saw the potential for change. Again, what we focus on grows. What do you want to see in your world? We are the Creators of our own reality. We create much of our own suffering but focusing on the suffering itself rather than the solution, the healing and the wholeness, has never brought us to a better place. We’ve all experienced our share of difficulties but when have we ever improved the situation by focusing on the difficulty rather than the solution? How long do we need to stay in the hamster wheel? When do we stop giving our power to create our world away to a single human?
I choose love and I choose love every day. I have found love and peace in my life and I share it every day in any way I’m guided to. What are you sharing? What are you putting out into the world? This is anything but a political debate, but merely a reminder that we are so much more powerful than we ever knew! What are we using that power to create?
