For Amanda, nails started as a practical career move but quickly turned into something she truly loves! She’s been a nail technician for almost three years! Beauty has always been part of her world. Growing up, she watched her mom work as a hairdresser and knew from a young age that she wanted to be in the beauty industry in some way. She began her career doing hair, but after a year realized it wasn’t the right fit. When she transitioned into nails, everything clicked.
What Amanda loves most about being a nail technician is the creativity. She’s always loved art, and nails give her the perfect canvas. Her favorite designs to create are fruits and florals and fun, detailed looks that let her artistic side shine. While beautiful nails are always the goal, what really makes her appointments special is the connection she builds with her clients. She loves getting to know the people in her chair and hearing about their lives while she works. Creating a comfortable, friendly space is just as important to her as the final result.
When it comes to nail care, Amanda’s biggest tip is simple but important: keep your cuticles and skin moisturized. Proper hydration helps prevent lifting and protects the skin around the nails from cracking or bleeding, helping manicures last longer and keeping nails healthy.
When Amanda isn’t at blu, you’ll most likely find her at home relaxing. She enjoys crocheting, reading fantasy and dystopian books, and spending time with her black cat, Jack ( named after Jack Black ) who she’s had for about seven or eight years.
Whether you’re coming in for a gel manicure, a relaxing pedicure, or a fun cat-eye set, Amanda loves creating an experience that feels personal, creative, and welcoming for every client who sits in her chair!
