Responsibilities:
-Answering the phone for 4 location while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner, using proper telephone etiquette and documentation. Recording phone messages and ensuring the proper party receives them
Verifying patient insurance
Updating demographics and insurance information in the EMR
Schedule diagnostic test, consults, procedures, etc.
Scheduling and canceling appointments for providers
Making reminder calls to patients
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency in using phone systems and office equipment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic understanding of healthcare procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional patient service
