The Community Health Centers, Inc will be honoring one of our clinic's patients, Laila Basim, who has risked her life advocating for educational access and book access! Laila Basim is a refugee from Afghanistan who, while living in Afghanistan, opened Zan Library as a response to the Taliban's ban on allowing women access to an education. She was also a very vocal activist, organizing and participating in many protests attempting to regain women's right to an education. In order to honor Laila's devotion to educational access and the extreme risks she took with her life doing her work, we are dedicating our LFL to her!

New Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) benefit for non-citizen children called State CHIP open enrollment opened on January 1, 2024. Click on the link below to enroll today!

As of January 22, 2024, 104 children have been enrolled in State CHIP since the program opened enrollment on January 1. With the available funding, we estimate the program will be able to cover up to 2,000 children. https://chip.health.utah.gov/state-chip/
