Our beloved team member, Jayden Rich—Hearing Instrument & Technology Specialist at Utah Ear Institute—was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on May 16 in Bountiful.

He is currently in a coma at Intermountain Medical Center, fighting for his life with a strength that continues to inspire everyone around him. Doctors have called it a miracle that he survived the initial trauma—and now, we’re holding onto that same hope for the road ahead.

In moments like this, community means everything.

Here is Lynn's story. 💚

"I developed tinnitus quite a while ago. I was having difficulty sleeping, and I was depressed. I didn’t think anything could be done. Dr. Luekenga’s receptionist came into where I work, and I asked her if there was anything I could do. I am so glad I did!

My concern before contacting was that nothing could be done to help. Dr. Luekenga and I grew up in the same small town. He made me feel like I was a friend first, patient second. Since getting hearing aids, I am able to sleep now! To anyone concerned about their hearing, I’d say get yourself checked."

Here is Kim's story. 💚

"I realized something was up with my hearing many years ago. My wife and I had a misunderstanding because I didn’t hear what she said to me correctly. I didn’t have any fears before contacting, as I already had hearing aids from another company.

My first impression was very nice, upbeat, and made me feel confident. Hearing aids have made it possible for me to function near normal, as I can’t hear very well without them. To anyone concerned about their hearing, I would say get tested, get the hearing aids if recommended, and wear them!"

What are your holiday plans this year? ❤️

Every year, Dr. Josh's whole family assembles together for a fun week of skiing (hopefully, we get more snow), eating, and enjoying one another's company in Park City. They've been doing this the last full week before Christmas for over 20 years. It really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Usually, the night before they all go home, they exchange gifts and listen to a well-thought-out Christmas message from his mother and father. The kids love it and immediately start counting down the days until the next Park City Christmas! 🎄

Jayden, our Hearing Device Technician, went against his mom's advice and got himself a fast (and loud) motorcycle.

Jayden is also a huge fan of the Christmas season, so he figured—why not combine his two favorite things? The neighborhood kids are loving it! 🏍️

If you catch sight of Santa Claus zooming by at near takeoff speed, it’s probably Jayden spreading some holiday cheer. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas from "Jayden Claus"! 🎅

We have some exciting news to share - Meet our new team member, Rachael! 🎉

A Davis County local since high school, Rachael’s passion for audiology began after witnessing her daughter’s speech therapy success and shadowing an audiologist in college. Inspired by her grandmother’s experience with hearing loss, she’s dedicated to helping patients reconnect with loved ones. 💚

Outside of work, Rachael loves hiking, paddleboarding, making music with her kids, and hosting family game nights.

We’re thrilled to have her on the team, and we can't wait for you to meet her. 👋
