We deliver day and residential services to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by providing opportunities for independence and growth

For over 65 years, Ability Inclusion Services has enriched the lives of people with disabilities by providing opportunities for independence and growth. Founded in 1958, the Center initially focused on children but shifted to adults in 1975 when public schools began accommodating all children. In the 1980s and 1990s, services expanded to include residential support to address the needs of individuals that needed support to live on their own and additional day programs we opened so participants could have community and sensory experiences. In the 2000s, transportation services were introduced and have since grown to a fleet of a dozen accessible vehicles. Today our organization is one of Utah’s most vibrant disability communities, providing an invaluable resource for participants and their families.

Thank you to the Rocky Mountain Foundation!

With their generous $5,000 donation, we were able to give our fitness room a fresh new look. The upgrades include new paint, added storage, a water cooler, with brand-new equipment and tools, creating a more welcoming space where adults with disabilities can focus on health and wellness.

Today, we were thrilled to welcome members from the Rocky Mountain Foundation team to see the completed upgrades in action. Their support helps us provide opportunities for strength, independence, and community wellness. 💪 🏋️🦽

It was a tee-riffic day on the green with ChamberWest! We were honored to be one of the recipients of proceeds from their annual Golf Classic silent auction and even more excited to receive a generous check for $1,817.50 to support our programs at Ability Inclusion Services!

We also had the opportunity to set up an informational table at the event to share more about who we are and what we do. We loved connecting with the golfers and community members who stopped by.

Client Appreciation Day = A Total Splash! 💦

Today was all about celebrating the incredible individuals we serve and WOW, did we celebrate! From fishing and face painting to games and volleyball, the energy was nonstop! And as always, the DUNK TANK was the main event! 😄 Our folks knew EXACTLY who they wanted to dunk, and they didn’t hold back! Huge shoutout to our staff who were such good sports and accepted their fate 💦

We love taking time to recognize and celebrate the amazing people at the heart of our organization. Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special and unforgettable. We appreciate our clients not just today, but every day 😊

Our Story

The Center was founded in 1958 by a group of parents whose children had disabilities. Since then, the Work Activity Center has assisted adults with severe disabilities to increase their independence, overcome their isolation, and become integral parts of their communities. Throughout the 1970's and 1980's, residential and employment services were added to support a wider variety of the needs of adults with disabilities. Additional day locations were opened in the 1990's so that individuals with very significant disabilities could have community and sensory experiences. Today the Center is one of Utah's most vibrant work and training alternatives, providing an invaluable resource for over 170 participants and their families.
