A huge thank you to Square Financial Services for their generous support of our housing programs! We are incredibly appreciative of the award received through their 25 Squared Grant program.

With this funding, we’re investing in an innovative property management and mapping system to expand affordable housing, improve access, and better support the individuals and families we serve across Utah. This will help expedite housing placement, strengthen partnerships, and create more opportunities for people to find stability, recovery, and a place to call home.

We’re excited to carry this energy into April as we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month, continuing to foster inclusion, understanding, and appreciation for every individual.

The Valley team had an incredible time at last week’s Rally for Recovery!

We were proud to hear from our Board member, Rep. Jim Dunnigan, who spoke about the critical role Medicaid funding plays in supporting recovery treatment. It was a great event and the turnout was huge! We love seeing our community come together in support of recovery.

This week, VBH officially broke ground on our new Homefront facility — a 68-bed supportive housing development designed to help individuals experiencing homelessness move toward long-term stability.

This project is about more than adding beds. It’s about creating a place where stable housing is paired with the treatment and support services people need to remain housed, heal, and rebuild.

We are deeply grateful to the partners and supporters who made this vision possible:

As we reflect on the success of our Branches of Giving fundraising campaign, we're reminded of the incredible impact we can achieve when we come together.

Through Branches of Giving, we supported 200 children in our children and family-focused units: the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning, Valley Phoenix, and our Children, Youth, and Family Divisions at our Valley West and Tooele campuses.

Each child received essential items including clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and bedding along with enrichment items and toys to bring stability and joy everyone deserves, especially during the holidays. This year, we were able to support nearly double the number of children compared to last year, in no small part due to the generosity of our community!

Thank you for believing in our mission and showing up for the individuals and families we serve.

Thank you to everyone who donated items and funds to our Branches of Giving Tree campaign. Your generosity has helped provide critical support to children and families in our community!

As we wrap up the year, there are still folks in our community who need help with essentials like rent, utilities, food, and clothing. If you’re able to donate, it truly makes a difference.

Our Story

Valley Behavioral Health is a nonprofit network of clinics providing treatment for behavioral issues, addictions, psychiatric conditions, autism and other chronic health conditions. We treat chronic lifelong issues as well as temporary conditions triggered by traumatic life events. Our programs are tailored to people of all ages and every social, cultural and economic situation. There are many reasons people don’t seek help for behavioral issues when they need it. But most of them have something to do with the stigmas people often associate with mental illness. Shame and embarrassment are common, as is the attitude that “if I don’t admit to having a problem, it might just go away.”

Our mission is to dispel these feelings and attitudes through education. Too often mental illness is seen as a weakness in character rather than what it really is: a neurobiological or psychological condition. A condition that’s really no different than having diabetes or arthritis.

With proper diagnosis and treatment, those living with mental illness can lead successful and meaningful lives. After all, choosing to deal with these issues isn’t an indication of weakness—it’s proof of wisdom and courage. You don’t have to deal with it alone. Let’s deal with it together.
