PTSD does not look the same for everyone - but it can affect everything.

It can feel like always being on edge.
Like your body never switches off.
Like small things suddenly feel overwhelming.
Like you are not safe, even when you are.

Many people are living with this every day, often without others realising.

Understanding PTSD is how we reduce judgement, support people properly, and help them feel less alone.

Healing is not about being perfect. It's messy and hard and exhausting. But it CAN happen.

One place to start is to reframe the way we speak to ourselves. Our trauma brain is hurting and sometimes gets stuck in old, frustrating, and untrue thought patterns. Our healing brain can remind us that we are loveable, safe, and worthy of kindness.

It's important to notice when we have these negative thoughts so we can pause, take a breath, and then reframe the thought into something positive. We were taught to believe these negative things about ourselves by our trauma, but that doesn't make them true and we don't have to keep believing them.

Remember, healing is possible, one thought at a time. 💜

💟 Protect What Brings You Peace

You don’t need to return to what once broke your peace.
Some people may change — but that doesn’t mean they deserve a permanent place in your life if peace is still missing.

Healing begins when you stop insisting on what drains you
and start choosing what brings calm, clarity, and truth.

Protect your peace by honoring your boundaries,
respecting your emotions,
and choosing what helps your soul breathe freely.

You deserve to feel safe inside your own life.
