2024 was busy! 🙌❤️
This year I had many amazing birth doula moments attending and assisting births of friends, repeat clients 💕, and many firsts!

I attended my first home birth, and traveled and presented at professional conferences in the birthwork field. I trained in postpartum doula work and had the cutest little baby girl for several nights while her parents rested! I completed placenta encapsulation certification and processed several placentas. Lastly, I traveled to Ghana to learn about birth in another country, teach about menstruation and labor comfort measures, and gift items to communities.

Iowa needs more doulas! 💜✨
We are coming back to the Quad Cities to host another doula training. This year's training will be two parts that will require availability for both virtually and in-person.

This fall I participated in Maternal Health Incubator Hub. I learned so much about and sexual orientation and gender in birth and parenting. All of my learning will help me to better serve my clients and community. Project is ✅ but the learning will continue

And just like that my 1st baby of 2024🥳! Baby arrived quickly, I mean very quickly! Very rarely do I arrive in an evening and go home that same evening 🤣 all are healthy and well!! 💙
