Here’s Our Combined Post for Thursday 7/31/25 and Today (Friday 8/1/25):
Thursday’s activities included the parachute game after chair exercises in the morning, Murray the Dig visits, 20 in attendance at Courtyatd Chats (including people & pets), Baking Club (our residents love chocolate chip cookies 🍪), and our Evening Art Therapy with Elena.
We want to extend thank you’s 🙏🏻to:
Russ’ Family for sharing their snacks & decorations in the cafe from their 60th wedding anniversary;
Community friend Carol M and her sewing 🧵 circle for making & donating neck pillows, lap quilts, and any doll blankets;
And, to the Lamson Family for donating ice cream 🍨 cups to the Cottonwood neighborhood as a special treat and snacks towards a future Sundeas on a Sunday activity.
Today, we happily flipped over to our August calendars, gave a shout out of congratulations 👏 to Melvin (CNA on 2-10 shift) as the Employee of the Month, enjoyed a morning Coffee Club ☕️ Social (thank you Bert for being our greeter 🤗), reached 23 total people in Aspen/Birch courtyard enjoying the beautiful weather 🌞 and lively conversation after lunch, did some color therapy in the neighborhoods, and ended the day with our first “dipping” social. The sweet caramel was a resident favorite 😍 dip on the apples 🍎 served.
*Miss Lily the Dog was not able to come today, but she and Volunteer Susie have rescheduled for the following dates at 10 AM in The Cafe: 8/8, 8/11 and 8/12.
