Revitalize: verb- to inspire or permeate (something or someone) with new life & vitality.

Last week had the pleasure of serving their team to a wellness day in the office with our Revitalize Retreat! Each individual had 20-30 minutes of their own to reset and rest- lying neutral on a massage table receiving therapeutic touch addressing any aches pans and releasing tension- while the rest of the team enjoyed snacks, music, and some friendly competition with board games… not a bad way to start a Monday!

And the winner is… 🪘🥁🎉

Thank you to everyone who donated!! Together we raised over $300 to support 3 individuals who are survivors of Domestic Violence. October was DV Awareness month and is personal to me and so many others I know who have been harmed and even tragic death. May we educate ourselves on the many forms of DV and be a listening ear, support, and believer in victims experiencing such trauma.

It’s never too late to donate for this cause or others as we raise awareness. You can always choose an add-on a service of $10 with your massage session for the Render a Respite Healing Program or donate via Venmo. If you know of someone from a historically marginalized group who is going through a trying time financially, has experienced unsafe touch or has never received professional care to experience a safe therapeutic massage- please provide me a private message or add their information in the nomination form on the Render a Respite page on the website. As more funds come in and/or the next cause relates I will be sure to take care of them.

Best advice I’ve received as an L.M.T. One who is called and chosen to help heal others… is to pray over my hands 🙌🏽 🙏🏽💝

Thank you Kaci Foland for this gentle reminder to pray over the gift God provided me through my hands- to protect them, heal them, restore them so that they can be a blessing to others.

And special shout out to Pastor for nudging me to follow Gods calling on my life. Taking the leap of faith to start a business, a huge risk and set back financially as a single mom, but God blesses those who persevere, are patient in his timing, and lead with love guided by their calling. My hands have always been a gift providing safe therapeutic touch even as a child.

Dear Parents… Kids need and benefit from safe therapeutic touch too! Whether that’s to release knots and adhesions, assist in bowel movements with an abdominal massage, or help to relax, calm their nervous system and improve sleep. Kids are welcome and encouraged to receive massage therapy! Parents can sit in during the massage and even schedule yourself one back to back, because you deserve some back to school TLC too!

The Body Keeps The Score… if you experience fibromyalgia pain- give your body permission to breathe. Not all one massage and certainly client are the same. Your body will know what it can handle and your therapist will know what you need.

Regular massage is likely needed to help navigate the complex pain and tension stored in your fascia and soft tissue. Check out our membership packages that specifically assist with chronic pain management.

Redefine: "Give new meaning to" My goal as a massage therapist is to change the narrative of massage therapy regarding the impression that massage's purpose is simply to relax without providing any actual relief. In reality, massage therapy is beneficial for everyone, especially when they suffer from any acute and chronic reoccurring pain like migraines or fibromyalgia, injuries or trauma related injuries.

Reveal: “Make (previously unknown) known to others. "I never knew I was that sore or tense" This is a common phrase I hear throughout so many massages. There is so much discovery of one's body when they receive a massage that goes deeper than the surface. They realize there's pain where they least expected, often the culprit of the pain they are referring to. Our bodies have a deceiving way to 'normalize' pain and with our muscle imbalances and poor posture habits, we get used to it. Overtime that becomes a problem, which is why finding the right massage therapist who will assess, feel, and provide a plan that is more therapeutic in nature is the best for achieving long-term relief.
