~First 1" Snow Prediction~

A warm-up is expected for the middle and end of September that will likely keep accumulating snow from happening until October, even in the Upper Midwest. However, there are signs of ridging that will develop over and south of Alaska as we get deeper into October that will likely bring in below freezing temperatures and a relatively active pattern for the first accumulating snow for quite a few areas. It is possible some areas south of I-90 sees first accumulating snow the end of next month but I'm more confident in a November first snowfall for many areas south of I-90.
