Dr. Lexie Franzeen graduated with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2006. She completed her training in externships located at the VA in Daytona Beach, FL, Wolfe Eye Clinic in Ames, IA, and SE Eye Specialists in Tallahassee, FL. She did her undergraduate work at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, graduating with honors in 2001, and she attended Coon Rapids-Bayard high school, class of 1997. Dr. Franzeen was voted Doctor of the Year for her Walmart region in 2006-2007. She is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Iowa Optometric Association (IOA). Staff:

Comprehensive glasses exams are offered, as well as spherical, toric, and speciality (bifocal/RGP/multifocal) fits. Rumor has it the bacteria in the dirty water in Sochi is what caused his eye infection. Also, remember to change your contact case regularly as bacteria can build up.

November is National Diabetes Month!

The Iowa Optometric Association recommends that individuals with diabetes have a dilated eye examination once a year by an optometrist. Early detection and treatment can limit the potential for significant vision loss for conditions such as diabetic retinopathy (see photo below).
