Let's meet another member of the IVHCare board! Dr. Shannon Hood, DO, brings nearly three decades of experience in family medicine to her role as a board member of IVHCare. A graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her residency at the Mayo Clinic and has built a distinguished career providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages.

Practicing at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, as well as clinics in Ankeny, Iowa, Dr. Hood is known for her commitment to preventive care, strong patient relationships, and continuity of care across the lifespan.

Upon her retirement a few years ago, she decided to volunteer as a receptionist, which makes her addition to the board so helpful in understanding the day-to-day operations and patient process at IVHCare.

Thanks, Dr. Hood, for all you do for the women and babies who come through our doors!
