PRESCRIPTION REFILLS!!

Did you know that you can request a prescription refill through the patient portal? Our first choice is to have you request medications through your pharmacy, but if that isn't working, or they are not moving fast enough, you can fill out the Prescription Refill Request Form on your patient portal. It gathers all the information we need to prescribe your medications for you!

Having a surgical procedure can require a lot of steps. We want to make sure that you get taken care of! Often, your Surgeon will require a PreOperative (aka PreOp) Appointment. This could include a brief head to toe assessment, labs, an EKG (a quick peak your hearts electrical activity), and determining what to do with your long term medications.

Usually this visit should happen within 30 days. We recommend that you call us as soon as you know you're going to have surgery, and we will schedule this PreOperative Appointment with you for 'more than a week, but less than a month" from your surgery date.

You might hear us talk about a 'Med Check' and we just wanna talk a few minutes to discuss med checks (also known as a medication check visit).

If you regularly take medications, this means that you will need to be seen by your provider for regular visits. There are a few reasons for that!

💊 Your insurance will likely require it to pay for medications that you plan to run through insurance.
💊 So we can ensure your medications are still working for the condition we agreed upon with you to treat.
💊 To ensure that you are not suffering from any side effects or developing any secondary conditions.
💊 Monitor your regular healthcare screenings and maintenance.

Regular visits also give insurance a record of your health on occasion so that we can prove to them that you are a healthy individual, or if you are walking a complicated health journey, what the updates are on your needs as they arise.

If you take regular medications, plan on regular medication checks! Discuss what your visit schedule recommendations are with your provider!
