A lot of 'different' knee diagnoses can benefit from these rehab exercises. Pain in/around/under or just below your kneecap all require very similar rehab. Runner's knee, Jumper's knee, Patellofemoral, patellar tendinitis are all very similar and will benefit from these strengthening exercises.

ROM/mobility drills and stretches are really important for maintaining good function but..... when injury rolls around strengthening, as well as addressing the full kinetic chain are necessary to decrease the likelihood of repeated injuries!!

Do you have pain or dysfunction in your shoulders?
Here is a great series for improving shoulder strength and range of motion! Try incorporating it into your routine 1-2 times/week

Start face down in a comfortable position ensuring that your pelvis and neck are neutral

Do repeats of 5-10 pulses in 5 different arm positions:
1. Arm extended at 90 degrees to your body, thumb pointing to the floor
2. Elbow at 90 degrees to the upper arm, pump back from the shoulder
3. Arm and elbow remaining in previous position, rotate back from shoulder - you may not feel a large range of motion with this but continue with the action
4. Arm straight down at 45 degrees, rotate your arm so that your palm faces up and your thumb is facing your body, pump lifting your palm to the ceiling
5. Arm extended up and out at 45 degrees from your body, thumb pointing to the ceiling

As you improve you can increase to 3 sets of 10 repeats and eventually add a hand weight! 🏋️‍♀️
