Getting curious about how you view yourself is a game changer for health. Our health behaviours are driven by how we view ourself. Seeing yourself as valuable starts with self compassion & surrounding yourself with people that see YOU. Here is how a lack of self worth could show up in health & healing:
- Not following through with seeking medical help, diagnosis, assessment & treatment
- Putting your physical, mental, emotional, relational needs last
- Not partaking in activities for the sake of joy, pleasure, rest and ONLY activities that involve work/duty/responsibility
- Poor nutrition due to not making food/fuel a priority
- Lacking clairty on what you want: not knowing which direction to go
- Self criticism/judgement
- Avoiding relationships that ARE cup filling because you dont feel like you have much to “add” or “give”.
- Constant comparing to others lives, careers, relationships. If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. A great place to start is to really consider seeing yourself in a new light. See yourself through the eyes of a loved one or beloved pet of yours. See yourself how you view those YOU love.
