Revisiting Buddha’s 4 Noble Truths today 🪷

🪷It’s part of being human to feel discomfort. It’s recognizing the discomfort in fieriness of fire, wildness of the wind, turbulence of the water, the upheaval of the earth along with the goodness of all elements. The first truth also recognizes we change, we ebb & flow like the waves and wax & wane like the moon.

🪷The second truth reminds us that there is no need to resist this discomfort.Resisting the discomfort of change is what causes suffering. Impermanence is one of the three inescapable facts of existence.

🪷The third noble truth reminds us to let go of this resistance to end the suffering by not grasping, not clinging, not getting caught in false hope & fear.

🪷The fourth noble truth is the eightfold path that spells out practical action we can take toward our own awakening.

The eightfold path or 3 fold way guides us in living ethically, training the mind, and cultivating wisdom.

The eightfold path includes right action, right speech, right livelihood, right mindfulness, right effort , right concentration, right understanding and right intention.

Bhramari Breathing🧘‍♀️

The word bhramari means 'bee' and the practice is so-called because a sound is produced which imitates that of the black bee.🐝

Bhramari induces a meditative state by harmonising the mind and directing the awareness inwards. The vibrations of the sounds create a soothing effect on the mind and nervous system. 🧘‍♀️

Additional Benefits :

Relieves stress and cerebral tension.
Alleviates anger, anxiety and insomnia.
Reduces blood pressure.
Speeds up the healing of tissues
Strengthens and improves the voice.

❌ Bhramari should not be performed while lying down. Not to practice with any ear infections. No breath retention for those with any heart conditions.

In the midst of movement & chaos, keep the stillness inside of you.🧘‍♀️

Sleep is one of the most important pillars of our health that often gets affected first with any change, emotional & physical stress, or an overactive mind. We know letting sleep fall by the wayside affects nearly every facet of our health: ability to function, memory, cognition, weight, hormones, mood, energy and so much more.

Here are some simple practices of maintaining sleep hygiene, restoring your sleep & wellbeing through out the year.

Additionally, Yoga Nidra is also a practice that gives you the same kind of rest & recovery that you get from sleep. It is said that a 30-minute yoga nidra practice is equivalent to 2-4 hours of sleep. Download your free yoga nidra audio & guide here :

Ease Stress & Anxiety 🧘‍♀️

Whether you’re trying to handle the constant chatter of worry, anxious & unpleasant thoughts or struggling to cope with escalating work demands, stress & anxiety do one thing : they pull you out of the body and out of the real present moment.

Our marvelous human mind scan conjure up a whole universe of what ifs & worst case scenarios.Anxious thoughts can cloud the mind so much that we fail to see the beauty in front of us and appreciate what is.

There is one way to reconnect to the present : through the body - through engaging all the 5 senses. While there are many ways of dealing with the anxiety spiral such as therapy, yoga, mindfulness, breathwork etc, this 5 4 3 2 1 technique is so subtle and simple that you can use it anywhere and anytime.
