This Is What We Call an Award, Not a Reward!❤️
Unknown An elderly man walked into our pharmacy, in pain and barely able to stand. He needed crutches but we thought was worried about the cost.
We simply said, “Take them. No charge. Just return them when you feel better.”
He was shocked. “Really? No cost? No deposit?”
He was emotional as we helped him to his car. With almost tears in his eyes, he said, “I used to help others. Now I need help. Thank you.”
A few days later, he returned — walking much better — and quietly left a $100 bill at the counter. Before we could stop him, he was heading out the door.
We ran after him to return the money. He smiled and said, “It’s yours. What you guys did for me isn’t normal. I’m truly thankful.”
Moments like this remind us what it means to live in a small town — where neighbors still look out for each other, and kindness still matters!😊
