We are now accepting monetary donations via GoFundMe to purchase and distribute earloop KN95s and KF94s! https://www.gofundme.com/f/mask-bloc-toronto
Thank you for your support❤️

NOTE: while earloop high-filtration masks don’t on average achieve the same seal/fit as headstrap n95s, we know that many people can’t comfortably or regularly wear headstrap N95s for a multitude of reasons, including sensory issues, chronic pain, and more. There are also many people who do pass fit tests in ear loop masks, and additionally, we believe masking is about harm reduction and there are many factors at play in community care and safety. What’s more, N95s available are notoriously designed for white men, and definitely don’t work for every face and person. We encourage everyone to fit test their masks to make informed choices on the fit and type of mask that is right for them (and we hope to provide more education and community for this in the future, because no, fit testing resources and education are *not* easy to access for everyone). Thank you in advance for supporting us and stay safe and well! ❤️✊😷

This is our current mask distribution system, but it is set to change as we move into the new year because we are trying to set up even more outdoor and indoor mask distribution stations, as well as a system for pickup and delivery.

There are 3 pick-up points (Etobicoke, Downtown and Scarborough), outdoors and accessible 24/7!
We stock them 2-3 times a week with a minimum of 20 n95 masks in a variety of types and sizes, as subject to availability.
At the moment we are fundraising for earloop KN95s and have already made purchases with the money donated by community members. As soon as those masks arrive, we will be stocking all three pick up points with both n95s and earloop KN95s in multiple sizes.

Slide 2: the same gradient background with black text, which reads “our work is grounded in the principles of disability justice and achieved through mutual aid, accessible political education and community outreach”. Slide 3: same design with the text “what is a mask bloc? As defined by The How to Start a Mask Bloc zine, a mask bloc is an autonomous local disability justice group that is designed to provide high quality, high filtration (or Hi-Fi) masks to people that need them for free. 4th and final slide: same design with this text: “additionally, it can also be a source of other tools and information on COVID-19, clean air and accessibility.
