It's been a busy past few days for Team 27! After meeting the various staff members of Green Pastures Hospital, the team has hit the ground running with Lunch & Learns, workshops, and everything in between. The team will continue their efforts here to the end of the week, and we are grateful for every minute we get to work and learn alongside this incredible staff

After a few days on safari, Team 27 has reached Pokhara! They are taking in the sites and sounds of the city, and are excited to be heading to Green Pastures Hospital tomorrow for their first day of sessions with the staff!

As Team 27 adapts to Nepali timezone and traffic, their 3rd day included a full schedule at the Sundar Dhoka Sathi Sewa centre in Patan. This centre is devoted to supporting people who live with disabilities in Kathmandu, and helping them live life as fully as possible. Topics covered included sexual health, pressure injury management, bladder management, and introduction to the science of pain.

It was a full day for Team 27 as they visited the Spinal Injury Rehab Centre in Kathmandu. The team met with Dr. Raju Dhakal and his colleagues at SIRC, learning of the various ways they support Nepalis with spinal cord injury through their recovery journey. Thank you to the SIRC staff for having us and allowing us to observe your work space 🙏🏼

Team 27 has made their way to Nepal from their respective corners of Canada, and united in Kathmandu! This team will be starting their journey with a few stops in the Nepali capital, but only after taking some time to explore this beautiful part of the world. All the best Team 27!!
