We aim to provide our members with current and accurate information regarding medical school admission, including academic and MCAT acceptance criteria, application processes, and extra-curricular involvement. This may involve medical symposiums featuring representatives from various medical schools, meetings with current medical school students, information sessions with board-certified practicin

g medical professionals, and presentations by recognized MCAT preparation experts. This networking environment will be established both within the U of T Pre-Medical Society and collaboratively with other campus groups and health organizations. Ultimately, we wish that our efforts will assist every student considering medical school in gaining insight about whether medicine is the right career path for them and what it takes to get into medical schools.

Drop by anytime between 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM to explore the various Life Sciences programs offered at UofT, and get insights directly from upper year students! Whether you’re deciding on a major or just want to learn more about the field, this is your chance to chat with student experts and make informed decisions for your academic future.

Additionally, UTPMSA is partnering with UTSU’s First Year Council (FYC) to bring you a networking social at Freeplay! After the POSt fair, head over to Freeplay to connect with fellow first-year students and unwind with some fun games.

Join us virtually on February 24, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 pm EST to meet with medical students from Top Canadian Medical Schools (UofT, Queen’s, McMaster, Western, UOttawa, University of Saskatchewan) to learn more about their med school experience!🩺

Join us in supporting Friends of Ruby—a Toronto-based organization providing safe, supportive spaces for LGBTQ2+ homeless youth. For every 10,000 steps you run or walk in a day, UTPMSA will donate a winter necessity (like gloves, hats, coats, and sweaters) to help those in need during the cold months. Get moving, track your kilometers, and make an impact!🏃‍♀️🏃

UTPMSA’s Goals:
1. Reach a total distance of 1000 km through community participation
2. Collect and donate 100+ winter items (e.g., coats, blankets, gloves, hats, etc)
3. Raise awareness about the challenges faced by homeless youth in our community

In addition to the challenge, UTPMSA is accepting donations to support Friends of Ruby. Monetary contributions will help purchase essential winter items, but we also welcome physical donations like gently used winter gear (e.g., gloves, hats, scarves)!❄️

As a thank you, those who complete 10,000 steps or donate will have their name featured in our wrap-up Instagram post, celebrating the incredible efforts of everyone involved. Proof would have to be submitted through a google form link in our bio!

Let’s get moving and help make this winter a little warmer for those who need it most!✨
