December 1 to 5 marks National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), a timely reminder that as long as flu viruses are circulating, it’s never too late to get your flu shot. Even if vaccination doesn’t fully prevent infection, it significantly reduces the risk of serious complications, including hospitalization. Protect yourself and those around you, stay safe this flu season!

Congratulations, Davante, our Employee of the Month! Davante consistently demonstrates flexibility and dedication by working across all units and adapting to any schedule. He is always willing to step in and do what is needed. Davante has a remarkable ability to build rapport with some of our most challenging patients, including those who exhibit aggressive behaviors. He often volunteers to serve as a 1:1 support for these patients, sometimes for an entire shift, ensuring their safety and well-being.

He encourages patients to maintain their hygiene routines, offering assistance when necessary and plays an important role in facilitating the visiting process on the adult unit, helping even our most acute patients connect with their families. Davante is truly an asset to Units 2 and 3, as well as to the entire hospital. Thank you for your commitment and compassion.

About Hampton Behavioral Health Center

A Higher Standard of Care

Hampton Behavioral Health Center offers unparalleled inpatient and outpatient treatment for adolescents, adults, dually diagnosed adults (mental health and addiction issues) and older adults. Understanding the diverse needs of our patients, we also offer Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Our main campus is centrally located in Westampton Township, New Jersey, and houses our 110-bed inpatient facility as well as Hampton Counseling Center, providing Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) services. Hampton Counseling Center’s satellite outpatient locations are located in Cherry Hill, Camden County and Hamilton Township.

We treat a variety of psychiatric diagnoses, including, but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, psychosis and behavioral health conditions with co-occurring chemical dependencies. Most patients are admitted to Hampton Behavioral Health Center voluntarily; however, sometimes family or friends intervene to help a loved one who may be putting themselves or others at risk. Hampton Behavioral Health Center’s dedicated units and distinct programs are designed to meet the unique needs of each population we serve. After a comprehensive evaluation to assess a patient’s needs, a multidisciplinary treatment team develops a treatment plan tailored for that patient. The treatment team is led by a psychiatrist and consists of advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, licensed social workers, creative therapists, addiction counselors and mental health associates.
