Don’t forget....this Wednesday, February 4th, we’re gathering in Westborough for a real, grounded conversation about women’s weight and metabolic health.

This is not about quick fixes, “calories in, calories out,” or “try harder.”

We’ll be talking about what actually drives weight changes and weight resistance.

Hormone signaling. Gut and appetite signals. Stress physiology and the vagus nerve. Muscle, sleep, and why so many women feel like their bodies stopped responding to the things that used to work.

We’ll also thoughtfully discuss where weight-loss medications fit into care today. What they support. What they don’t replace. And why understanding the full system still matters.

This evening is meant to feel supportive, educational, and empowering.

A space to finally connect the dots and walk away with a clearer understanding of your body and your options.

Let’s Talk: Women’s weight and metabolism through the lens of hormones, muscle, sleep, and stress: A deeper dive into the hormonal signals, daily habits, and strength-building practices that shape metabolism, appetite, and body composition for women at every stage of life.

📍 Congregation B’nai Shalom, Westborough, MA
🎟 $27 on sale now, and at the door! Last minute attendees welcome!

We may or may not have talked about plush ovaries and stuffed vulvas last night 😂

It was a night packed with genuinely helpful information, plus a healthy side of humor.

Because honestly, how else do we navigate perimenopause if we can’t laugh at some of it?

Rage from chewing? Yep. That’s a thing. And we talked about it.

So grateful to everyone who joined Laura Brown and me for this virtual deep dive.

These are the kinds of real, integrative health conversations I love bringing into your homes.

There is a lot of information out there about how women should maintain a healthy weight and feel good in their bodies. But most of it only focuses on one piece of the picture and leaves out what truly shapes our body composition — hormone communication, strength, sleep, stress physiology, and how these systems work together over time.

The Integrative Health Speaker Series was created to give women access to integrative and functional education that helps all of these pieces finally make sense.

On February 4, we are bringing forward a conversation that takes weight and body composition out of the trends category and puts it back into the context of whole health.

Let’s Talk: Women’s weight and metabolism through the lens of hormones, muscle, sleep, and stress: A deeper dive into the hormonal signals, daily habits, and strength-building practices that shape metabolism, appetite, and body composition for women at every stage of life.

📅 Wednesday, February 4th | 6:30–8:30 PM [doors open at 6 pm]
📍 Congregation B’nai Shalom, Westborough, MA
🎟 $27

We’ll talk about how hunger and satisfaction signals are shaped by hormones, why building and maintaining strength matters more than many women have been told, and how stress responses and sleep rhythms can influence eating patterns, energy levels, and the routines we are able to keep. We will also acknowledge the growing role of weight-loss medications in care today and how they fit into the broader landscape of women’s weight health.

Weight is personal and every woman’s story is different.

I know you’re confused, because I sure was! They did not teach THIS in nursing school….

Is hormone therapy safe now? 🧐

➡️Why was HRT ever labeled as dangerous in the first place?

➡️Do you actually need hormones in perimenopause/ menopause, or is that just what’s trending right now?

➡️What’s really going on with estrogen and bone loss?

➡️My doctor said I won’t benefit from HRT because I still have my period. Is that true?

➡️ How do I know if it’s contraindicated? What if I can’t/don’t want to take it?

🤨And why does every provider seem to say something different?

You can Google these questions all day long!

You’ll get articles, reels, hot takes, and opinions — often contradicting each other!

What you can’t Google is how clinicians actually think through these questions to provide personalized advice.

You can’t Google nuance.

You can’t Google clinical judgment.

You can’t Google the kind of conversation where tradeoffs are weighed and context matters.

That’s why we’re bringing this conversation to life on January 27 — a clinically grounded, nuanced discussion you have to be in the “room” for.

Join us for a warm, “fireside” chat on this hot 🔥 topic! 👇
