Our hearts are with Firefighter Patrick Sullivan and family, Rutland Professional Firefighters Local 4878 , and the entire Rutland community during this difficult time. Please donate if possible.

On December 16th, Ciara, Patrick’s partner, experienced a severe medical emergency requiring immediate and significant medical intervention. As a result, Ciara is currently intubated at Memorial Hospital. Their twin babies were delivered prematurely via emergency C-section and are also on ventila....

Today we remember the "Worcester 6". These 6 brave men selflessly gave their lives in the line of duty 25 years ago today. 2 members initially became lost while searching for 2 civilians believed to have been in the building. Their 4 brothers then also subsequently perished while attempting to find them. It was later found that the civilians had exited the building prior to their arrival. The sacrifice of these men will never be forgotten and the advancements made in the fire service following this fire have undoubtedly saved the lives of countless other firefighters and civilians. Jerry, Joe, Jay, Tim, Tom, and Paul… Remember their names… We will NEVER forget...

Today we remember Lieutenant Jason Menard of the Worcester Fire Department. Lt. Menard selflessly gave his life 4 years ago in the line of duty while searching for a mother and child believed to be lost/trapped in a burning building. In his last minutes, Lt. Menard did everything possible to make sure his crew made it out of that same building, ultimately sacrificing himself so that his crew may live. Our thoughts are with Lt. Menard’s family, friends, and our brothers and sisters of Local 1009 today. Lt. Menard, we will NEVER forget…

We would like to take this time to inform all our friends and family members of the upcoming ceremony to honor our brother Lt. Jason Menard, to be held on Wednesday, November 13th. This will be the 5yr anniversary of his ultimate sacrifice that took place on Stockholm St. The ceremony will take place at the McKeon Rd. fire station at 6:00pm. We Will Never Forget!
