Here’s a clip of our own Jaclyn Delrosario speaking at the Lipedema Simplified 2025 Heart to Heart Virtual Conference last month! Jaclyn shared her knowledge of and experience with standardized functional assessments for lipedema surgery and what a powerful role this can play. Patients who are seeking evaluation and documentation for insurance coverage for their surgeries, there ARE resources and folks who can help!

Jaclyn also does non-surgery-related assessments for those who may have lipedema, whether they have a formal diagnosis or not. And she can provide tools for symptom management. Contact us for more details!

Love it when the whole team gets together for a Skills Share! Tessa, Jaclyn, and Megan gathered to teach and learn a bunch of different hands-on techniques from one another, and last night's buffet included kinesiotaping for edema, targeted neuromuscular work, and some approaches to glymphatic drainage. Here's to continually learning and growing!

Tessa is now trained in manual lymph drainage from Klose Training! We are SO excited that she is adding this skill on top of the many that Tessa utilizes with her clients. One River Massage Therapy wants to get this work to as many people as possible, and now our team of lymph nerds is growing! Congratulations, Tessa!

Sheesh, our occupational therapist Jaclyn is booked and BUSY these days! She is helping SO many people, particularly those with cancer and surgery rehab needs, lymphedema, and lipedema, which is great, but her schedule is getting dang full. So excited being part of the Boston Lymphatic Center’s study on variability in lymphatic anatomy. How amazing to see ICG lymphography as up close and personal as you can get! The injections were a breeze, and seeing the intricate pathways up on the screen in such detail is just…wow. (Megan’s right arm and left arm are built quite differently, by the way.) The research team here is doing such important work to further the study of lymphatic disorders. Thank you all for doing the work that you do!

Cannot recommend this book enough! Schuyler Bailar has created a rich, incredible work that is deeply informative, full of beautifully honest personal experiences, and is a joy to read. Fantastic, educational, inspiring two days at the Boston Lymphatic Symposium! The imaging and the research being done is exciting and game-changing! And getting to be surrounded by so many brilliant people with such dedication and passion is such a gift. Thank you to the Boston Lymphatic Center, ALERT at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and everyone else who participated to make this another wonderful event!

The whole One River team in one place! We had a Skills Share last night here at the ORMT headquarters, where we took turns getting on the table and teaching one another different skills and tips to help our patients and clients in all sorts of ways. It felt wonderful to have everyone together, collaborating and asking questions (and yes, there were snacks 😜). Excited to practice what we learned from each other!
