No ONE should be putting a cell phone to their heads, which is why we cringe when we see patients/clients do so in the clinic. But children in particular are subject to even more damage than adults. Cell Phone Etiquette and Safety: Use your speaker (step out of a public space if you need to speak). Text. Get a shield of some sort, like a safe sleeve or better yet, be sure to keep at least one land line and make THAT the phone you use for conversations. And most of all, read the insert of your cell phone to find out what is stated openly about the dangers of cell phone use. They were never intended to replace cordless phones, and they shouldn't. We can use technology, so long as we do so wisely and safely. Children don't know better but the rest of us really should. We are their best defense, their guardians and stewards.
