Get there with some exploration of Mindful Movement that gets your body ready to settle into it…
And wrap up with a short Seated Meditation to support feeling calm and focused.

A program for all. Everyday life stress, injuries, chronic pain, and more all communicate to our brains that they need to “do something!” and make it more challenging to rest and repair from their effects. This workshop dials down that overwhelm and makes space for rest and repair. That state change allows your own body and brain to facilitate healing and cultivate ease.

Our time together is specifically designed for beginners as well as longtime yogis and meditators. Bring the brain and body you have!

If you think you can’t meditate, this is a great opportunity to dip a toe in. I specialize in working with people who say, “I can’t turn my mind off,” “am I doing this right?,” “it’s not for me” and other things you’ve probably thought about mediation.

Participants can really customize their experience.

Build proprioception, balance, and resilience! Become sturdy: explore how we inhabit our bodies; dynamic balance exercises; non-dominant muscle meridians; and lower body strength.

Falling is a leading cause of death and loss of independence; the *fear* of falling can lead us to limit activity. This training helps you feel more able to move confidently and securely. Appropriate for regaining skills after injury or surgery—I originally designed this training for a physical therapy practice—as well as for general fall prevention.

Please note: Fall prevention skills are different from being strong; although there will be some strength-building in this program it is focused on the factors that help with fall prevention. So if you’re strong already this can still be a great practice for you! We’d love to have you with us.

We are so excited to have Gabby DeLorenze join the Fernwood Holistic Health team! Gabby will be offering Myofascial Release Bodywork on Fridays, starting February 20th.

Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on bodywork practice designed to support the body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance. This integrative approach blends Craniofascial Therapy (CFT), Craniosacral Therapy (CST), lymphatic drainage techniques, and subtle energy work using light, intentional touch.

Sessions are deeply calming and restorative, making them especially supportive for individuals navigating chronic stress, life transitions, inflammation, postural strain, or long-standing discomfort. Clients often report improved mobility, reduced pain, better sleep, and a greater sense of ease in both body and mind.

Most of us breathe improperly and never know it, or even think about it. All day, every day

Changing the way we inhale and exhale has a dramatic impact on our health. This has been known for thousands of years, with knowledge dating back to ancient yoga texts and practices, books of the Chinese Tao, all the way up to modern day research.

Breathing is a powerful medicine that can influence our physical and mental health in dramatic ways, and has been used to lengthen lives, as a tool to connect with the self, and even to reach higher states of consciousness.

In this interactive and experiential 3 part workshop we will explore:
+ functional vs dysfunctional breathing, and how to identify this in yourself
+ what is the “perfect” breath and why
+ common myths about breathing such as, the more we breath the healthier we are, + taking a deep breath means taking a big breath, and taking a bigger breath oxygenates us more.
+ simple breathing techniques that can be used at home to retrain your breathing pattern, balance your body chemistry, regulate your nervous system, decrease the stress response, promote relaxation, and improve your physical and mental health.

This workshop is for anyone who breathes! Breath training is particularly beneficial for those with anxiety, panic attacks, asthma, and sleep apnea, however anyone and everyone can benefit from breath training.

It truly is the missing pillar of health for many.
