Stroudwater Lodge will be doing a Winter gear drive for Maine Needs. Feel free to drop off any donations in our Front Lobby.

They are currently in need of warm coats, warm hats, waterproof boots & gloves, snow pants, warm socks for adults and kids. Gently used or new welcome.

Other items needed at this time: warm comforters in twin and queen sizes, underwear & diapers of any size (must be new), Dunkin Donuts gift cards in $7-$20, and sleeping bags.

Maine Needs is a local Non-Profit that share the needs of the community with you to inspire us all to give what we can. They reach individuals and families statewide via partnership with the social services community in support of asylum seekers, students, the unhoused population, survivors of domestic violence, and those facing financial adversity.

Liam Kimball performed for our residents today and it was such a treat! His music was beautiful, his talent was phenomenal, and the residents loved it! Residents, Visitors, and Associates filled up the Dining Room, Pub, Living Room, & Lobby just to hear him play! 🎻🎶

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated not as a day off, but a day “on” inviting everyone to honor his legacy through acts of service. Yesterday our residents created care kits to donate to MaineHealth Cancer Care & IV Clinic for cancer patients. Being able to give back warmed the hearts of many residents 💗

Men’s Group meets every other week at The Lodge. Members share that there is a great camaraderie among the group as it provides them purpose and improves their overall health. These meetings are a great opportunity to share stories and knowledge which is a powerful way to foster connections and understanding 👬👬

Each month we do a taste test to discover new ways to try familiar foods. This month we tried pineapple!🍍We tried it in the form of piña coladas, pineapple juice, grilled pineapple & ham, pineapple salsa, and freeze dried pineapples! While talking pineapple fun facts, we also discussed the age old debate - Pineapple on pizza, what do you think? 🍍🍕Comment below ⬇️
