Up to half a million Americans use ASL as their native language. For Beth, it is her lifeline to communicating with her care team.
Shown below, her residential team is three classes in to their Intro to ASL course. So far, staff have mastered over 100 words, and can now communicate back and forth. 👍🤜👏👏

DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) are often called the backbone of our agency. They support all functions with strength and flexibility. In our opinion, they are so much more!
This week we celebrate the eyes and ears that keep us safe and engaged, and the heart and soul that believes in the beauty and integrity of every person.
This week, we celebrate DSPs for EVERYTHING they do. Happy DSP Recognition Week!

This is so cool.

The band, which covers popular music and writes its own ditties, is entirely self-sufficient, signing their own contracts, carpooling and setting up their instruments and sound system at venues.
