I assume that if you are a patient seeing this today, you have received the letter regarding the untimely passing of Dr. Dashiff. I often wondered what I would say on the day that I had to share this horrific news. Some of you who are regular patients are already aware and have been overwhelming in your kindness and support.
Two of the patients that I have known for years made it easier to decide how we would honor Dr. Dashiff today on this page. They wrote and recorded a beautiful song for us in his honor. Kita de Sesa sang the song while her husband Gary plays the piano and their son arranged the music. There are no words to thank them for all that they have done for me. Below are the lyrics for the song which can hear in the video in this post.
We are all still shocked by his untimely passing and I am sure that you will never forget this most honorable doctor who cared for everyone who walked through the doors of his offices since the moment he became a doctor. There isn't a day that goes by that we all won't miss you Doc.
Lyrics:
Every now and then, in our darkest hour
We've searched and prayed for strength and guidance from a higher power
And though the answer comes not from a voice above
It often comes from special people giving of their love
These are the Angels in our lives, and you're one of the Angels in our lives
Who've been there to guide us through our trials
To make our lives much better
Angels in our lives, you're one of the Angels in our lives
By sharing your knowledge and your smiles
You've made our days much brighter
When there is nowhere to turn; where there is no more to learn
You come along, and so this song to thank you, we thank you.
For you're an Angel in our lives.
Yes, you're one of the Angels in our lives
You've helped us to live, not just survive; you've made our burden lighter
Angels in our lives -- what would we do without Angels in our lives?
Unselfishly healing and so wise. Can we forget you? Never!
When there is nowhere to turn; where there is no more to learn
You come along, and so this song to thank you, we thank you.
The Angels in our Lives.
