18 years in and I’m still learning… but here’s what’s made me a better coach (and human)

🗣️ Real Talk from a Track Coach:
After almost two decades of coaching high school track & field, I’ve learned a few lessons that have nothing to do with sprint mechanics:

✅Speak their language, if you can’t speak “teenager,” you’re not reaching them.
✅Know their WHY ? Performance starts with purpose.
✅Break your own rules : Growth lives where flexibility meets humility.

These lessons don’t just make me a better coach – they help me create an environment where athletes actually want to get better.
