Our Story

It all started with a dream, casually talked about for many years, a vision to build a Physical Therapy practice that was all encompassing and promoted prevention and wellness. We have worked alongside each other for the entirety of our careers and one day finally decided it was the right time to follow our dream. We were ready for a new challenge, and started this incredible adventure to open a private clinic. We have learned quite a bit about healthcare and witnessed the business side of a major level I trauma center. With the everchanging demands of healthcare and its dynamic nature, we wanted to return the focus back to quality and one-on-one care. We recognized a need for our unique expertise in the outpatient arena and took advantage of the opportunity. With over 15 years of experience, we treated countless patients with a variety of medical issues, illness and life altering injuries. Not only did we gain extensive knowledge on best practices for treating these patients from a Physical Therapy standpoint but also how to care for them from a holistic approach. It is easy to remember individuals we have treated over the years and reminisce on how our Therapy allowed them to walk again or speak again or stand up for the first time to dance with their loved one. This is our motivation. Moments such as these are why we became Therapists. These success stories are why we wanted to develop our own clinic and create an environment that people feel well cared for and confidence they will get better.

Currently, Impulse Rehab and Wellness provides Physical and Speech therapy services. Our Physical Therapists treat neurological disorders such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s, and Multiple Sclerosis. We also treat orthopedic injuries such as post-surgical, amputation and muscular injuries. Our Speech Therapist specializes in aphasia (loss of ability to understand or express speech), dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) and memory care. We perform evaluations for custom wheelchairs and driver’s evaluations to test individuals’ capability to safely drive. Eventually we plan to add occupational therapy services to provide clients a one-stop shop for all their therapy needs. To promote long term wellness and relationships, our clinic also offers exercise classes including Chair Yoga, Senior Exercise and Spine Health. We are in the process of adding an exercise class for people with Parkinson’s and providing classes through Silver Sneakers. Our wellness lectures are in full swing. These presentations are free and address a variety of topics.

Our mission is to provide patients with individualized care, helping to restore one’s livelihood. We are passionate about developing lifelong relationships with the community and empowering others to lead active and healthy lifestyles. It is extremely gratifying to play a role in someone’s recovery and be a driving force to help them regain their sense of independence. Primarily treating neurological conditions in addition to orthopedic conditions makes Impulse Rehab unique among physical therapy clinics.
