The Universe keeps throwing curves, the latest being a flood at our shop at the end of February. A problem with the sink in the upstairs space sent water pouring from our ceiling, 4” of water covered much of our floor and many of our lovingly-crafted pieces were irreparably damaged.

Tony’s guardian angels were full force and, thankfully for our future TensatOWNERS, we’re on-schedule with all outstanding Tensatoner™️ orders.

“Hello everyone say hello to my new little best friend “Tony” the tensatoner. I have had this little small but mighty guy for only 36 hours but have used him for 10 clients and I have to say I wish we would have known each other for a long time! 🤣

I was excited about him after my own connections in my own body but to see my clients connections and how it changes the work immediately after is truly remarkable.

I wish I had this when I was training professional athletes on a daily basis. It is like muscle activation to get the connection in the right place at the right time to help you connect to the next exercise so you get the full benefit.

Like a fast track train in the right direction that makes it super easy for client and trainer saving time, frustration and energy for both.

It is unlike other props in that the spring and slight instability gives feedback to help recruit the right muscles to get that full body engagement that Joseph Pilates was talking about developing uniformly.

Feels so good, changes exercises immediately and progressions can keep unfolding safely and effectively.

✨Fall 2022✨

There’s almost no better spot than in Autumn (I mean, or ANY time, but) ~ it truly always feels like a moment.

Thanks to and for your collaborative work, to all the beautiful teachers ~ we love you, ~ to presenter for your brilliant, lovingly researched book.

And, to ALL, for graciously embracing the “Let’s bring the whole fam damily to the Pillow” experiment 😬😂🥰

We are a small (but mighty) family business and this trip was a celebration of that, in all the ways 🙏🏻🎉🙌🏻🔥

And, here with a “Where in the World is Tony” update…

Multi-tasking my footwork on the heels by working the medial portion of my feet.
Pulling is not the same as pushing, so the toe corrector, while wonderful, doesn’t do what Tony can do here.

If you watch closely you can see just how hard I’m working to keep the medial sides of my big toes flush with the Tensatoner flats. Especially that left foot. (My more deviated side.)

The curves of the Tensatoner are ideal for getting the work just where I need it to eliminate any bunion pain. (Of which I thankfully have none!)

Bunions: A deviation of the big toe toward the second toe, weakening the abductor hallucis, can cause compensatory gait-patterns, further exacerbating the issue and having a knock-on effect all the way up the line.

Note: abductor hallucis strengthening exercises (think bunion-battlers) are sometimes (often) difficult due to a weakened neurologic connection to the muscles (move it or lose connection to it). Keep at it and improvement happens as the neural circuits to your foot improve.
