I am an SLP working with communication challenges for all ages. Small children with developmental communication challenges such as phonological disorders where they are talking all the time but most of what hey are saying is garbled.. Or Small children who are not talking and of course should be. School aged children have challenges of speech sounds, language expression, and or reading comprehension. These school age communication challenges sometimes continue to the middle and high school years and are manifested in limited vocabulary and more comprehension issues as the text they are expected to understand is full of complicated sentences and hard words.
