Memorial Day isn’t just about cookouts and get-togethers.
It’s a day to remember the reason we’re able to have them in the first place.

We honor the men and women who never made it home to sit around a grill, laugh with family, or enjoy a long weekend. Their sacrifice is what made our freedoms possible.

Today, I’m especially thinking of my nephew, my hero, my fallen soldier Christopher J. Foster. 🇺🇸

When the rain just wouldn’t quit this week, I went ahead and hung my hammock right up in my kitchen and made myself a little cozy spot anyway.

The wall tapestry from my original office is looking for a new home. I still love it, but after moving, it just doesn’t work with the ceiling height in my new space.

Well… the sunflowers have once again decided this is their property and I’m just living here. 🌻😂

They came back EXTRA thick this year. There’s honestly too many for their own good at this point, so I need to thin them out a bit.

Before I start yanking them, does anybody want some sunflowers?

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, bonus moms, grandmas, stepmoms, foster moms, and the women out there loving people like their own.
I hope today brings you a little peace, a little rest, and a reminder that all the things you do matter more than you know.

And a special Happy Mother’s Day to my own mom as well as all the other moms in my life who helped make me who I am — thank you for all the love, strength, and lessons you’ve poured into our family over the years. I love you.
