Across the country, nursing home providers are being asked to do more with less – and in some cases, with funding that hasn’t arrived at all.
In Ohio, nearly $1 billion in legally mandated payments remains outstanding from the Ohio Department of Medicaid – even after a court ruling ordered retroactive distribution. The lack of funding directly affects staffing, operations and ultimately, the quality of care for our most vulnerable populations.
