Our community had the absolute honor of hosting a special gallery showing for one of our wonderfully talented residents. A self-proclaimed night owl, he spends the quiet hours in his apartment handcrafting a collection called Milestone Trios. Through drawing, woodworking, and papier-mâché, his work beautifully honors his personal life experiences and pays deep respect to African history and culture.

The most moving moment of the showing was when he revealed a drawing dedicated to his mother, beautifully interwoven with her actual handwriting. Listening to him discuss the inspiration behind his pieces and watching our residents connect through his storytelling was an experience we will never forget!

Creating beautiful jewelry and even more beautiful memories! ✨💖

For Mother’s Day this year, we hosted a very special event: "Beads and Bonds." Building off the amazing momentum of our monthly "Monday Makers Jewelry Studio," our residents spent the afternoon crafting matching charms, bracelets, and custom keychains.

It was so heartwarming to see so many of our residents carefully crafting matching keychains to give to their daughters, granddaughters, and the special friends in their lives. A beautiful afternoon of crafting, connection, and celebrating the women we love!

The dance floor was officially open this Friday! 💃🕺🎶

When The Blue Limestone Project took the stage in the West Restaurant, the energy was absolutely electric. Having four residents out on the floor at once was an incredible treat, and the crowd could not stop cheering! Watching friends from Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care all come together to share the music was purely magical.

From TJ and Jake’s sweet, heartwarming spin to Dave and Roz (rocking those sunglasses!) tearing up the floor, these unscripted, beautiful moments are the true heartbeat of our neighborhood.

Our residents took total control of our spectacular Bunny Brunch this past Saturday! They were the brilliant masterminds behind stuffing every single egg before sending our staff out to hide them for their visiting families. Watching the kids and grandkids scramble to find the hidden treasures while our residents cheered them on was an absolute blast. Throw in an incredible feast prepared by our culinary team and a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, and you have the perfect weekend.

Over the past few months, our weekly painting class has focused on recreating specific scenes step-by-step. But this week, we decided to take the training wheels off. Residents were given an abstract reference, minimal instruction, and one goal: Let your imagination take over.

The results were incredible! From Carol Hottenroth’s modern vibes to Iris surprised us all with a Picasso-like face created out of nothing. Watching these ladies evolve from beginners to expressive artists has been amazing to witness.
