🌱 Fiber & Kids: Why It Matters More Than You Think!
Did you know most kids don’t get enough fiber each day? Fiber plays a huge role in keeping your child’s digestive system healthy, supporting immunity, and preventing constipation — one of the most common concerns we see in pediatrics.
Here’s the simple rule:
👉 Age + 5 grams of fiber per day
(Example: A 6-year-old needs about 11g daily.)
Easy, kid-friendly fiber sources include:
🍎 Apples & pears
🍓 Berries
🌽 Corn & peas
🥣 Oatmeal
🍿 Popcorn
🥄 Chia or flax added to yogurt
🍠 Sweet potatoes
🥗 Lentils, beans, chickpea pasta
Small changes truly make a big difference!
